Debbie Berry and her family loved living on the popular Beamish View Estate in Birtley but they started to feel like they needed more space for their growing family.  

Debbie, who works at the HMRC in Washington said: “We’ve loved living in this house for over 12 years.  We’ve been here since my son Sam was a baby and it’s the only house my nine year old daughter Ava has ever known,  so it holds very happy memories.   

“We wanted to stay on the same estate as we love it here and we found the perfect home just one street away. The new house has a spacious living room, separate dining room and family room and six bedrooms so we decided to ask my Mam to come and live with us too.   I’m can’t believe it’s happening and it will definitely be our forever home!”

Debbie continued: “We put Mam’s house up for sale initially.  Kelly and Lorraine in the Low Fell office were fantastic and matched Mam up with a first time buyer, so there’s no chain which is brilliant!”

As the process began for her Mam, Debbie and her husband decided to put their house on the market.  They had five viewings in one week and two of them asked for a second viewing straight away. 

Debbie said: “The first person who viewed our house quickly put in an offer which we accepted and she’s chain free too which couldn’t be better!  Again, Kelly and Lorraine have kept me fully informed throughout and they have given me feedback after every viewing. 

Debbie said: “The people who are buying our house have a first time buyer and the people who are selling our new house are buying in London and going into rented which will help to move things along. We are hoping for completion around Easter time.”

Debbie said: “It sounds crazy selling two houses in one go but I can honestly say that Team Sarah Mains have gone out of their way to make sure we are kept up to date and completely stress free. They are very professional and I would highly recommend them.”
